Personal History:
I just received the
diagnosis of melorheostosis today. I have been complaining of pain in the ring
finger on my left hand for several months. Prior to my diagnosis I tried
several sessions of occupational therapy without success - in fact the OT seemed
to make the pain worse. My doctor had never heard of melorheostosis prior to my
case and we are now working together to learn more about the disease and
possible treatments.
